At Fill it Forward, we believe reuse is even more powerful when it’s shared. That’s why we’re excited to introduce our brand-new Friends feature in the Fill it Forward app! Now, you can connect with friends, cheer each other on, and celebrate the positive impact you’re making together.
Why Friends?
Sustainability can feel overwhelming when you try to do it all on your own. By connecting with friends in the app, you can motivate each other to stick to your reuse goals, compare progress, and give a quick “wave” to recognize someone’s efforts. It turns the simple act of reusing a bottle or cup into a shared experience.
How It Works
Find your Friends: Head to the “You” tab in the app, and you’ll see a new Friends section.
Search & Connect: Add friends by typing in their name or email address, or with the QR code scanner in the Fill it Forward app.
See Your Friend List: Once you’ve connected, all your friends appear in a neat list you can check anytime.
Send a Wave: Want to encourage someone or give them a digital high-five? Tap the 🌊 wave 👋 button. It’s like a friendly nudge, letting them know you see and appreciate their reuse journey.
Stay Updated in Your Mailbox: All activity shows up in the app’s Mailbox, including new friend requests, accepted requests, and wave notifications.
