What started as a simple idea of inspiring the world to reuse and giving back to people and the planet has turned into something truly extraordinary. Thanks to our amazing community of reusers, Fill it Forward has officially surpassed 9 million reuses and $2 million raised for charitable partners around the world!
These milestones aren’t just numbers. They represent real change, real people, and a growing movement toward a more sustainable future.
The Power of Over 9 Million Reuses
Every time someone uses and scans their Fill it Forward tag via the Fill it Forward App, the positive impact ripples outward. Collectively, your 9,259,269 reuses have contributed to:
- 2,468,689.44 kWh of power saved
- 133,343.63 lbs of waste diverted from landfills
- 22,352.39 lbs of ocean pollution prevented
- 1,377,500.25 sq ft of land use saved
- 4,295,722.05 lbs of emissions avoided

$2 Million for Global Good
Back in 2012, the idea of raising $2 million through reuse seemed like a pipedream. Yet here we are—13 years later—having collectively contributed over $2 million to more than 50 charitable partners supporting clean water, food security, reforestation, and ocean conservation initiatives across the globe.
To put that into perspective, together we’ve helped raise the equivalent of $12,579 every month in support of our charitable partners. Every dollar is donated to a vetted charitable organization. To date, we’ve supported over 600 giving projects that continue to create lasting, positive change.
