Project: Clean Water, Toilets, and Hygiene
In Bihar, India, floods and droughts contaminate water sources, while open defecation and inadequate facilities pose health risks. WaterAid’s A-B-C for sustainability approach improves access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene in homes, schools, and health centers. It promotes behavior change through youth-led programs, and empowers women and youth with capital for WASH businesses. Together, we’re fostering resilience, health, and opportunity, helping families break free from poverty.
WaterAid has teams in 35 countries, changing millions of lives every year with clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene.
