Walking Through the Trees: How Visit Seattle Brought Sustainability to Life at PCMA 2026

At PCMA 2026, Visit Seattle demonstrated how thoughtful engagement can create real-world impact. Their booth featured an immersive forest activation, inviting attendees to experience “Mother Nature’s City” by walking through the trees and connecting with Seattle’s stunning natural surroundings.

A Purposeful Giveaway That Makes a Difference

A highlight of the activation was the Fill it Forward sticker giveaway. Attendees who brought their own reusable water bottle were sent from the Fill it Forward Booth to Visit Seattle’s booth to pick up a special custom sticker. This small, purposeful giveaway is tied directly to sustainability, allowing attendees to take a stroll through the trees, chat with their team, and enter to win a giveaway.

Once attendees completed the experience, they received the sticker and were encouraged to scan it. Each scan unlocked a donation to The Nature Conservancy, helping preserve forests for the future. In addition, each scan entered attendees into a draw for a chance to win a $200 gift card to a Seattle brand of their choice—combining personal reward with environmental impact.

Inspiring Action and Lasting Impact

The activation educated and inspired. Attendees engaged with the booth, captured photos with the immersive experience, and took home a tangible reminder of Visit Seattle’s commitment to sustainable events and meetings. The sticker was both a keepsake and a call to action, making sustainability approachable, interactive, and fun.

Visit Seattle’s booth at PCMA 2026 offers a blueprint for DMOs seeking to balance engagement with impact: immersive design, purposeful giveaways, and authentic storytelling that connects a destination’s unique offerings to meaningful environmental initiatives.
